CENTERVILLE, Ohio — A former support staff employee at Watts Middle School has been arrested following allegations that led to his immediate termination from Centerville City Schools, district officials confirmed.

The school district initially learned about the situation involving Miller on May 20. School administrators immediately contacted Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies regarding the allegation. A district spokesperson stated that a thorough police investigation took place within hours, resulting in Miller no longer being employed by the school system.
Miller’s last day of employment was May 20, and he is barred from entering school grounds. School officials confirmed that the family of the student involved was formally notified of the situation last week.
According to a district spokesperson, all employees must successfully complete State Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Federal Bureau of Investigation background checks before receiving employment with the Board of Education. Additionally, personnel are required to obtain proper licensure through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
