PORTLAND, Oregon — A Portland Police Bureau officer who was arrested and released late last year on domestic violence allegations has been taken into custody again for allegedly violating the terms of his release agreement.
The Portland Police Bureau announced that it was notified on Monday regarding a criminal conduct investigation into Officer Jimmy Pryce. The independent investigation was being conducted by the Sherwood Police Department. Following the inquiry, Pryce turned himself in to the Washington County Jail on Tuesday. Pryce, a 27-year veteran of the law enforcement bureau, is a resident of Sherwood.
The current legal issues arise from a prior incident that took place last November. Following that initial encounter, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office arrested Pryce on multiple criminal charges, including strangulation, fourth-degree assault in the presence of a child, and harassment.
