VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia — A United States Navy sailor faces charges following a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday morning, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Authorities took the sailor into custody after police launched an investigation into an incident on Magnolia Chase Way.
The criminal charge follows a sequence of events over the weekend where law enforcement officials discovered a deceased infant inside a car on Saturday, one day prior to the deadly shooting of a woman at the Magnolia Chase Apartments complex.
The Virginia Beach Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding both fatalities.
