BOCA RATON, Florida — An upper school teacher at Saint Andrew’s School was arrested at his residence and subsequently terminated from his position after federal investigators discovered he was possessing and distributing child pornography, school administrators announced.
The private school, located in Boca Raton, transmitted an official statement to student families on Thursday confirming that the FBI had notified administration officials of the criminal charges against Patrick Russell.
Following the notification of the arrest, school leadership immediately terminated Russell’s employment contract. Under the terms of his dismissal, Russell is permanently banned from returning to the school campus, utilizing any school-owned equipment or property, attending institution-sponsored events, or initiating any contact with students or employees.
In the communication distributed to families, school officials emphasized the swift administrative actions taken to sever all ties with the former instructor. No further details regarding the federal investigation or upcoming court dates have been released.
