Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighter Apprehended Following Alleged Sexual Assault of Colleague

RANDALLSTOWN, Maryland — A volunteer firefighter has been taken into custody in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a female coworker earlier this month, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Authorities arrested Xavier Dove, 26, following an investigation into an incident that occurred at a local fire house. Police officers initially responded to the 10000 block of Liberty Road at approximately 9:30 a.m. on May 5 after receiving reports of a sexual assault.

During the initial response, a woman informed investigators that an adult male had sexually assaulted her three days prior, on May 2. A subsequent law enforcement investigation revealed that both the victim and Dove were employed together as volunteer firefighters assigned to the Liberty Road Fire Station in Baltimore County.

Following the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Dove. Law enforcement officials successfully located and apprehended him.

Dove is currently being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. The Baltimore County Police Department is requesting that anyone possessed of relevant information regarding the case contact investigators at 410-887-1340.
