JACKSONVILLE, Florida — A school security guard employed at Twin Lakes Academy Middle School was arrested following allegations of inappropriate behavior involving a student.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office informed school administrators that Jon Kee was taken into custody on Thursday, May 29, 2026. Kee faces a criminal charge of an authority figure soliciting or engaging in lewd conduct with a student.
Principal Aurelia Williams disclosed the arrest to parents and families in a community notification, expressing deep concern over the allegations and assuring families that school leadership is prioritizing student safety.
Kee began his employment at Twin Lakes Academy Middle School in February 2022, initially working as an office assistant. He subsequently transitioned into the role of a school security guard in July 2024.
Following the arrest, school officials immediately removed Kee from the campus. He has been reassigned to an off-campus position that prohibits any contact with students while law enforcement and the school district conduct their reviews.
The criminal investigation is currently being led by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, alongside a concurrent professional standards review by the Duval County Public Schools district.
